Volunteer


Island Trails requires the help of volunteers for many diverse areas of the organization. If you would like to volunteer for any of the following positions, please contact Barb at 566-9150 or e-mail info@islandtrails.ca

Trail Officer Volunteers
- Cyclists who would be willing to attend a two day Trail Officer training course and make a commitment of at least one patrol per week (3 hours) on a designated area of the Confederation trail.


Trail Watch Volunteers - Walk or cycle a designated section of the trail and report on the flora and fauna, wildlife, birds, traffic, and natural or willful damage via fax or email once per week.


Community Event Volunteers - Assist in hosting cycle/walk events in his/her community once or twice during the trail season (May-October).


Hiking Trail Maintenance Volunteers - Assist with maintaining and clearing trail areas and may act as leaders for public walks through such trails.


Board Volunteers - Represent an organization, bring a particular skill to the group or represent a geographical area.
